Meet Our Founder: Rev. Madeline "MAD" Long

Faith & Community Service

Answering her call to ministry in the African Methodist Episcopal Church, she served six years as a Police Chaplain supporting grieving families. Today, she is a proud board member of Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas, serving as Co-Vice Chair.

Rev. Madeline Long, affectionately known as "Pastor MAD," is a visionary leader on a mission to save lives. Recognized by many as a true "Health Crusader," she has dedicated her life to impactful service across business, public health, and ministry. Her unique background perfectly aligns with the core pillars of HIS Collaborative, Inc.

Rev. Madeline Long, affectionately known as "Pastor MAD," is a visionary leader on a mission to save lives. Recognized by many as a true "Health Crusader," she has dedicated her life to impactful service across business, public health, and ministry. Her unique background perfectly aligns with the core pillars of HIS Collaborative, Inc.


Public Health Advocate: After losing a family member to rest cancer, she spent 17 years volunteering for Susan G. Women and founded Supporting Our Sisters International, Inc., reaching 20,000 women with health screenings. She is also a CDC-funded Public Health Fellow and founded the Forest Park Center for Family Resources, to support families in crisis.

With a strong business mind, Rev. Long  co-owned a cable construction company featured in Black Enterprise that built the cable system in Washington, DC, and later won an FCC contract to transition the mid-region from analog to digital.
