Faith & Community Service
Answering her call to ministry in the African Methodist Episcopal Church, she served six years as a Police Chaplain supporting grieving families. Today, she is a proud board member of Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas, serving as Co-Vice Chair.

Recognized by many as a true "Health Crusader," she has dedicated her life to impactful service across business, public health, and ministry. Public Health Advocate: After losing a family member to rest cancer, she spent 17 years volunteering for Susan G. Women and founded Supporting Our Sisters International, Inc., reaching 20,000 women with health screenings. She is also a CDC-funded Public Health Fellow and founded the Forest Park Center for Family Resources, to support families in crisis.

With a strong business mind, Rev. Long co-owned a cable construction company featured in Black Enterprise that built the cable system in Washington, DC, and later won an FCC contract to transition the mid-region from analog to digital.
